Alyson, a qualified football coach and football referee, began her career as a financial journalist before making the switch to sport and has spent the majority of her career at The Times newspaper covering virtually every sport under the sun but with a particular focus on football. A Liverpool fan, Alyson is also a published author having written, among other titles, Astroturf Blonde and The First Time Lauren Pailing Died.
