On this week’s pod, former Malaysian international defender-turned football pundit, Shebby Singh chats to host Dan Ogunshakin.
Shebby enjoyed an 18-year career at domestic level in Malaysia, enjoying spells at five different clubs and represented his country for nine years. In 2012 he became Blackburn Rovers’ Global Advisor, a position he held for a year. He currently occupies a similar role for Malaysian powerhouses Johor Darul Ta’zim.
In this episode, Shebby talks about the passion Malaysians have for football, his playing days, trying to mark England striker Gary Lineker while representing the national team, his journey into football punditry and that infamous spell at Blackburn under the Venkys.
