The world has faced times of crisis before, and throughout those periods of history great works of art, science, and life came to fruition. During the Bubonic Plague that swept Europe in 1665, one of our most revered thinkers took the opportunity of silence to expand his mind. Isaac Newton had to leave Cambridge University because of the black plague and it was amid that crisis he discovered the fundamentals of color, gravity, and calculus.
