As President Biden urges the Senate to pass his administration’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, some Republican leaders are calling it a “Washington Special” that is not focused on what is actually needed for economic relief during the COVID pandemic. While the president’s administration is pushing for the bill to pass, they are facing other complications as Biden’s Cabinet remains half-empty and nominations are being questioned and even pulled.
