Happy First Birthday, Inside Sources!

Published: Nov. 25, 2020, 7:28 p.m.

Boyd has officially been back on the air in this time slot for over a year, and in that time, he has explored a lot of topics on Inside Sources. Topics regarding diversity, principled politics, and the ever urgent search for truth. Today he contemplates, who is responsible for truth?  As the holiday season swings into full gear and we prepare to celebrate a non-tradition covid adapted Christmas, it is crucial to be aware of issues affecting others' mental health and yourself. For some, the stress and celebration of the holidays can trigger anxiety, depression, and loneliness. This year, physical/social isolation, covid fears, canceled traditions, and the negative news cycle complicate the issue. One of our favorite guests, Counselor Jenny Howe, joins Boyd to discuss mental health concerns and tips on coping in this unique holiday season. If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide, KSL encourages you to call the suicide prevention hotline at 1-800-273-TALK. As a talk radio host, Boyd has had the opportunity to interview some amazing people who are doing amazing things. Today, he shares some of his favorite lessons from these guests, from the importance of Social Grace to the power of diverse voices.  Highlighted Guests Mayor Mendenhall; With earthquakes, coronavirus, and the market crashing, we need social grace. Reverend Amos Brown; The More We Get Together the Happier We'll Be.  Joseph Grenny; The need for 200% accountability. Rabbi Sacks; Remember Rabbi Sacks by coming together.  Maura Carabello; We are so much more open when we include varying viewpoints. Opinion pieces and monologues have become a primary way Boyd has inspired positive change in the world. Today he #GivesThanks for the lessons he has learned and shared on the way, from greeting the day with gratitude to the need to continually build bridges. Boyd closes this show with a challenge for his listeners to #SeeSayDo good this holiday season.  Highlighted Monologues and Opinion Pieces How to greet the day? With peace and perspective. Starting with Plan Z.  With earthquakes, coronavirus, and the market crashing, we need social grace.  From race relations to defunding the police, wedges don't build bridges.
