Man faces federal charges in robbery that led to West Fargo boy being hit by stray bullet

A 19-year-old accused of robbing a teen before an exchange of gunfire resulted in a stray bullet hitting a child in a nearby West Fargo home now faces federal charges.
The U.S. Attorney\\u2019s Office in Fargo filed its case last month against CJ Jesse James Carruthers, of Fargo. If Carruthers goes to trial, he will face federal charges of interference with commerce by threats and violence, use of a firearm for a crime of violence and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
