5-MINUTE FRIDAY: So, I Decided to Spend Christmas Alone

This week, I made the final call that I\'d be spending Christmas alone cozied up here in New York City. Growing up in a multidenominational household, Christmas Eve has always been one of my favorite days of the year. But in 2020, we\'ve all come to learn some difficult lessons. One I\'m leaning into: it\'s important to not waste energy on the things we cannot control. I am consciously choosing the safe, more sane option (especially because COVID). For 5-MINUTE FRIDAY, I\'m chatting about how the "right" choice still feels a little selfish.
