NCPACS: Prospects for Peace in the Middle East

In 2008, despite active opposition from Jewish groups, the United Nations Human Rights Council appointed Professor Richard Falk to a six-year term as a United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967. Professor Falk, Emeritus Professor of International Law at Princeton University, is described as ‘a critical analyst of the role of international law in global politics’.
