What Is Diabetes?

Published: Feb. 8, 2020, 3:57 a.m.

This is part 1 of a 3 part series covering the topic of diabetes.

In this episode, we start with a lesson on how our bodies use hormones ( focus on insulin and glucagon) to help regulate blood sugar.

Next, we explain what is diabetes. We also go over the different types of diabetes.

Additionally, we briefly cover some causes and risk factors that increase one's susceptibility to developing diabetes. However, we go into more detail on this in part 2 (coming soon).

Part 3 goes into treatment options for people with diabetes.

Roughly halfway through the episode my on again off again co host (my newborn son) joins in the conversation. He has some very insightful things to add. ;-)
