Tourette Syndrome and other Super Powers + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Paula Jean Ferri

Published: Feb. 17, 2021, 12:04 a.m.

Welcome, this week's guest Paula Jean Ferri!

Paula has always been in love with books even before she learned to read. Once she learned how, there was no turning back! She read so much growing up that she was once grounded from books for an entire summer during middle school. She has dreamed of being a writer as long as she can remember. She grew up in Logandale, NV, leaving her hometown to attend both Snow College and Brigham Young University-Hawaii to obtain a degree in International Cultural Studies with an emphasis in Communication. Her senior year of high school, Paula started making noises. At 24, she was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. This has given her a unique perspective that she wanted to share with the world.  She currently resides in Panguitch, UT, writing and sharing her love of stories as the local elementary school librarian. In addition to reading and writing, Paula loves singing and dancing in almost any genre. She loves being in and watching theatre productions, especially any musical performances. She is usually up for almost any activity, as long as it involves people. She enjoys all things island-related and would love to travel the world. Her website: paulajeanferri.com

Paula dives right into sharing her story of being diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and how it's affected her life and how she's chosen to still take a positive outlook on life. She and I talk about looking at things through different viewpoints and how others (society, family, friends) might look at things differently than ourselves, in this case, namely Tourettes. The conversation switches over to talking about being an author as well as how vision boards work for left-brained people. After we talk about vision boards for a little bit I share the 12th Vision Board Success that I've had. We talk a little bit more about morning routines and wrap it up.

In this season I'll be talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we'll transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I'll ask what experience they've had with them and share one of the successes that I've had. Again, why I'm sharing my successes with you is to show that it is possible for you to do the same thing, to use a vision board yourself and that you can rewrite your stars in your own life.

I also want to feature YOUR successes! So be sure to get in contact with me or use the Anchor service to send me a snippet of you sharing your Vision Board Success. Because we need to celebrate more successes. And I want to celebrate you!

Also, if you want to be a guest on my podcast, then be sure to reach out to me so that we can see about making that a reality. Because there are so many stories of people rewriting their stars, and I want to share them!

Thanks for listening!
