Molly and I being this episode talking about pain, how it is very subjective to our perception of it, and how we can influence that. I share some examples and she shares from some studies. She also talks about how we can become so accustomed to pain or tension that we don't realize it's there until we relax or ease up. When have you noticed that you're in tension and released it from your body? How can you change your perception so that you have less pain? Molly and I discuss those things too.
We also talk about how to use movement as a catalyst to release tension (which causes pain in the first place many times) in the body. We talk about how the mind and the body are connected and how pain is related to both. In what ways have you used your mind to mitigate pain before?
