Working in a Live studio is one of the best experiences as a TV Presenter, the energy is electric. But you have to know how to work with talk-back. I've been in so many screen tests when I ask the presenter if they would like 'open' or 'closed' talk back and they have looked quite blankly to me. You need to know your tools of the trade and the industry jargon. It's one thing to understand what talk-back is, but it is essential to master the technique with the correct practice and direction before going to that all important screen tests.
