It can be a very scary world.\xa0 Taking chances in life, and in love, requires us to be open to hurt and disappointment.\xa0 It requires us to be vulnerable.
Without vulnerability there is no opportunity.\xa0 For in all authentic relationships, (including the one with ourselves) we must allow our most vulnerable self to be deeply seen and known.\xa0 In all the risks we take in life we must be vulnerable.
Vulnerability is tricky.\xa0 On one hand, it requires us to feel safe enough to take off our protective armor and expose ourselves to the possibilities.\xa0 But to feel safe we must feel strong. Strength comes with the knowledge that, no matter what happens, we will be okay.
We need bravery and courage to be open, so from our vulnerability also comes our strength.
