Vulnerability

It can be a very scary world. Taking chances in life, and in love, requires us to be open to hurt and disappointment. It requires us to be vulnerable.
Without vulnerability there is no opportunity. For in all authentic relationships, (including the one with ourselves) we must allow our most vulnerable self to be deeply seen and known. In all the risks we take in life we must be vulnerable.
Vulnerability is tricky. On one hand, it requires us to feel safe enough to take off our protective armor and expose ourselves to the possibilities. But to feel safe we must feel strong. Strength comes with the knowledge that, no matter what happens, we will be okay.
We need bravery and courage to be open, so from our vulnerability also comes our strength.
