The Observer

Morning Mantra: "Because we have the power to observe our own thoughts, we can decide how we we want to think, act, and feel."
Mindfulness is what we should all strive for. It helps us become aware of, and step away from, our automatic and habitual responses to our everyday life.
We can become the observer of the emotion and remember that we are not the emotion, we are the person experiencing it.
This offers us the awareness to decide to not let the pain of the past, or the anxiety about the future, determine how we will react.
