Morning Mantra: "Namaste"
This means that the light of goodness in me recognizes and honors the light of goodness in you. When we meet in this place, we are one.
What a wonderful way to see other people. We ALL have goodness in us. Some of us are better at expressing it than others. Some people are so broken they don't believe they have anything good to offer, but it's there.
What if, when we see or hear things we don't agree with we remember that the people saying or doing it are just broken. They haven't found the light yet, they are "un-enlightened".
This doesn't mean we have to tolerate abuse or allow them to influence our behavior. It means the very opposite. That we find a way to recognize that there is good in them so their brokenness doesn't hurt us, change us, or shade our light.
