Be Easy on Yourself

Morning Mantra: "Go easy on yourself.  Whatever you do today, let it be enough." Times are tough for many and this can make you feel defeated.  
If you are doing the best you can to cope with all the chaos, and there is still anxiety and fear, try these simple things:
>Journal every day.  Writing down your feelings and seeing them on the page, can help diminish their power.
> Focus 20% on your problems and 80% on solutions.  This will give you a sense of empowerment, rather than helplessness.
> Don't be afraid to ask for support from safe friends and family.  Believe me, they will also appreciate a change in their focus.
> Take care of yourself through healthy habits- there is healing in a long walk, a good night sleep (or a nap) and eating well.
> Stop watching the news and stay off social media- even if it's just for a day.
If you don't think you can take on all of these at once, start with just one. 
Feelings are generated by thoughts.  So by all means- think of yourself as a survivor.
