The older we get, the more isolated we can become. Proverbs 18:1 says, "Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment." When we don\'t take proactive steps to establish new friendships and maintain old friendships, we rob ourselves of many blessings. Yes, friendship is risky business, but in the words of Garth Brooks, "I could have missed the pain, but I\'d have to miss the dance." In other words, the dance is worth it.
