Some esteemed members of this panel like to reference the overlords at iHeartRadio as their feeble attempt to diminish the greatest musical discovery service of all time, the radio. Their main flat radio argument seems to be that some crooked individual in a dark room is scheming with the artists to decide what should be the next hot song. Those same panelists imply that their music discovery playlists on Spotify are somehow less “commercialized” than the radio because an algorithm or a hipster dj is behind the selection of songs. Which method of selecting songs, profit making human, soap-phobic hipster dj or HAL 2000 Artificial Intelligence, for digital music discovery is better for our Eagles?
