Freedom of Information Act - City of Chicago
Laquan McDonald is a symbol of the Black Lives Matter movement. Similarly, he is also proof that power can be held accountable through a little use tool called the Freedom of Information Act. It’s likely that without the FOIA, the great citizens of the City of Chicago would have paid a $5 million police misconduct settlement without the truth behind it. We here at the HiFi Critics will be using this tool in upcoming episodes to expose those in government when they are not serving the constituents interests. What FOIA request will you make and why?
