Have you ever driven down Chagrin towards Cleveland and seen a sculpture made of multicolored, stacked doors? This is the handiwork of local Shaker artist, Scott Goss. Scott, an interdisciplinary artist and lecturer at the Cleveland Institute of Art, won the “Make your Mark on Moreland Public Art Competition” in 2018 and made this piece. The sculpture’s stacked, 14 powder-coated steel doors sit in Hildana Park, and serve as a gateway to the Moreland neighborhood. Take a listen and hear why Scott created this piece and why Moreland is one of the city's historically significant neighborhoods.
