This heavenly yet hedonistic beverage is blurring the line between brewer and baker and is certainly worthy of an in depth discussion. Our devilish donut drinker had us asking the big questions: Like what exactly makes a Pastry Stout a Pastry Stout? Bob, Sayre & Fridge also found themselves pontificating on the similarities between Tiki Drinks and Pastry Stouts: They have a low barrier to entry and remain approachable to the inexperienced crowds, they're often sporting scary names but presenting childlike flavors; and both require a deep expertise for proper execution of the craft.
