Dr. Carley is a professor in Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science and is the director of the Center for Computational Analysis of Social and Organizational Systems. She tells us about her pioneering work in dynamic network analysis, which has been applied to disaster and disease response, counter-terrorism, evaluation of cybersecurity threats, and now to social media.
