Part One: Furnace Fest Announced For 2021; Will It Be Cancelled?

Jack, Mike, and Nate presenting this episode of Hardly Focused! Jumping right into it, the group cover some of the things that went down this past week. They also discuss the mad amounts of money commercial jingle writers must make.

Can you believe a music festival was actually announced for later this year?! Let’s see if Furnace Fest ’21 actually happens. Jack, Mike and Nate discuss what bands they would actually travel to see play live.

Elsewhere, the city of Boston now allows musical performances inside restaurants. The catch? Performers cannot sing. Jack wonders why musicians can’t just perform with their face masks on.

Part Two: A Woman Finds An Entire, Empty Apartment Behind her Bathroom Mirror

This segment kicks off with Mike and Nate discussing Nate’s pick for Hardly Shuffled; “Army” by Ben Folds Five. Nate tells Mike and Jack about Nirvana The Band The Show, the ending theme of which is “Army.” The show features a musician whose side gig escapes Nate (spoiler: he recalls the gig at the end of this segment.)

Meanwhile, in New York City a woman makes the news for discovering an empty, hidden apartment neighboring hers. Seemingly, she can only enter this apartment through a hole behind her bathroom mirror. Jack makes a note to follow-up on this story, for only in Manhattan do these things happen!
