Homebuilder Buys 59-Acres of Sugarloaf Crossing Master Plan Property

In a recent development, an Atlanta-area homebuilder has acquired a significant portion of a nearly 200-acre undeveloped property known as the Sugarloaf Crossing Master Plan. The parcel, which amounts to 58.9 acres, was sold by Walton Global, a land asset management and real estate investment firm. The details about the homebuilder and the transaction amount remain undisclosed.

The purchased land is located at the intersection of Winder Highway and State Route 316, east of Lawrenceville. This marks the first sale of land from the master plan, which is envisioned to be a mixed-use community including office and retail spaces among other uses.

Anthony Sparrow, Walton Global\'s Executive Vice President of Real Estate, expressed excitement about initiating development at Sugarloaf Crossing. He highlighted the buyer\'s reputation for high-quality residential developments and the thriving market in Gwinnett County.

As of now, the housing plan for the property is described as "a variety of housing options." Walton Global is actively seeking developers for the remaining 125 acres of the property. The company cites Gwinnett\'s job market and population growth, along with the site\'s strategic location off Highway 316, as attractive factors for potential buyers.
