As we start yet another lockdown, we return with our reviews on the first FA Cup weekend, with Arsenal beginning their defence of the trophy via winning goals from Emile Smith-Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a tense extra time clash against Newcastle with continuing plaudits for Kieran Tierney’s and Bernd Leno’s contribution, and Man Utd beating Watford 1-0 in the competition but losing yet another semi-final under Ole as they are dumped out of the EFL Cup to rivals Manchester City, with the value of United’s squad depth discussed as well as why Axel Tuanzebe and Donny van de Beek should be included more.

We debate whether Arsenal winger Nicolas P\xe9p\xe9 could be like VDB in not being able to show his talent due to lack of game time, and investigate what is happening with Aubameyang’s overall form as of late. We also continue with our new segment Player Of The Gameweek and tease another individual player “award” for the coming episodes... watch this space. With midweek seeing us return straight back to Premier League action, we give our previews and predictions for Arsenal hosting Crystal Palace in a bid to continue their four-match winning run and recovery up the table, while United play their game in hand at Burnley before a crucial title clash with champions Liverpool at the weekend that could well solidify their title challenge.

Other subjects include the new UK national lockdown and how it may or may not affect football over the next weeks/months along with how it has already been impacted while arguing why we don’t think there should be a circuit break, as well as reminiscing Mesut \xd6zil’s legacy and success he brought to Arsenal during his time as he reportedly nears a move to Fenerbah\xe7e. In another January transfer window episode, we look at David Ornstein’s comments of Arsenal looking at a “world class number 10” to replace \xd6zil and discuss the options as well as why Mikel Arteta’s priority is to get deadwood out before signing players, with Sokratis, Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun linked with moves away. United links include their own outgoings in Jesse Lingard, Sergio Romero etc with a young defensive midfielder rumoured for an incoming. We also touch upon Wilfried Zaha’s comments on his 2019 Arsenal move being snubbed, and more as always!
