As the trade association for America’s firearm, ammunition, hunting, and recreational shooting sports industry, the National Shooting Sports Foundation seeks to promote, protect, and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. NSSF has a membership of more than 9,000 manufacturers, distributors, firearm retailers, shooting ranges, sportsmen’s organizations and endemic media outlets, including more than 300 members in Arizona alone. 1) The AZ FIND Act is good for business and good for the Second Amendment, yet is struggling to get the votes it deserves by some of Arizona's Senators, who profess to be Pro-2A. Can you help us understand what this Bill is? The FIND Act is the Firearm Industry Non-Disclosure Act HB 2473 Nothing in the measure actually would force banks to do business with the firearms industry. Instead, it is designed to financially penalize those who do not: No bank could get a contract with state or local government without first certifying that it does not have policies against doing business gun manufacturers, dealers and others. (Source: Tucson dot com) HB 2473 was introduced by State Representative Frank Carroll (R) Sun City West 2) Which AZ Senators are trying to avoid voting on this Bill? Senator David Livingston (R) Peoria, refused to allow a vote on the proposal Senator Vince Leach (R) Tucson Senator J.D. Mesnard (R) Chandler 3) How does this impact the average citizen? “FIND removes the roundabout way that a small minority of activists are using the banking industry to deny a constitutional industry from providing the tools for citizens to use their constitutional Second Amendment rights” FIND stops allowing big bankers to virtue signal for all the wrong things. Standing in the way of helping people access legal and Federally Regulated life-saving tools of self-defense is to empower predators and wrong-doers.
