Your sleep is crucial for your mental and physical health. Research has shown that chronic misalignment in your circadian rhythem can lead to metabolic diseases and mental health disorders; such as depression. Repeated poor sleep hygiene can also lead to insomnia and consistent lack of sleep puts you at higher risk for things like heart disease and stroke. Needless to say a good nights sleep is vital to your overall health and well-being.

Of course getting a good nights sleep isn\'t always easy; stress from work, family/household reponsibilities or anxiety can make sleep illusive. However, you can adopt habits that encourage better sleep. These habits are often refered to as sleep hygiene.\\xa0

In this episode I discuss everything from bad habits that inhibit sleep, good habits that will promote better sleep, the ideal sleeping environment and even things you can do througout your entire day that will align your circadian rhythem.
