Whenever we have spiking events like the tragic shooting in Virginia Beach last Friday, a heightened awareness takes over and soon we begin to hear about what the gunman's political leanings might be, what religion he is, whether or not he was liberal or conservative or even worse, we start hearing about his mental health diagnosis. Threat assessment and precrime programs are now in place to assist in controlling outcomes and exploit the fears of the populace.
