A recent BBC study of 55,000 participants reported that the 16-24-year-olds are the most lonely.\\xa0 Elderly people can be lonely too, and some have developed great coping mechanisms as they go through different stages of life - leaving home, going to university, getting married, children leaving home, loved ones dying, etc.\\xa0 Some don't.\\xa0 Solitude, however, is great for connecting with yourself and your environment and is a positive thing. \\xa0
