This month has seen President Donald Trump remove a number of top security officials in the wake of his Nov. 3 election defeat. Pentagon chief Mark Esper headlined a group of Defense officials who were fired or resigned, with many questioning the motivations for the president’s personnel moves and wondering about the effects of the shakeup.
