Last week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case of Brnovich v. Democratic National Committee, a case that concerns important parts of the Voting Rights Act. In advance of the oral arguments, a group of nearly 300 business leaders filed an amicus brief supporting the VRA, with specific emphasis on the economic impact of the VRA.

Secure Democracy partners with the Brennan Center and Leadership Now to promote legal and policy solutions that increase voter protections and access, including state and federal policy and communications advocacy. They are among those behind the amicus brief. Laxmi Wordham, Founding Member and Advisor to the Leadership Now Project and Sarah Walker, the Executive Director of Secure Democracy joined the show to discuss the brief and how ballot access is important to a thriving democracy and economy.
