Normally, federal employees have to heed the \\u201cuse it or lose it\\u201d nature of most of their unused leave. But last year, OPM determined that the pandemic was considered an \\u201cexigency of the public business,\\u201d thus allowing public servants\\xa0 to carry over more than the 30-day maximum at the end of the year.
