As few as 8 percent of people achieve their New Year\\u2019s resolutions, yet up to 45 percent of Americans make them anyway. So why make New Year\\u2019s resolutions? They\\u2019re silly. But, is it not worth doing something silly?

In good news, with 2018 behind us, a number of media outlets published compilations of good news that happened during the year. Some of the stories include, in Saudi Arabia, women are finally able to drive, the U.S. saw its highest voter turnout in a midterm election in a century, the entire Thai soccer team was rescued from a cave, and China\'s ban of ivory in 2017 helped decrease elephant poaching in 2018. For more good news, take a listen.
