Relatively Speaking Podcast Episode 116

Published: Oct. 4, 2017, 3 p.m.

It feels like the NFL season literally just kicked off yesterday, yet we're a quarter of the way through the campaign. Without any teams prevailing as dominant, we take a look around the league at some of the trends we've seen, what we think will hold up, and what we aren't quite buying yet. Jared goes out of his way to prop up fellow great-name haver Jared Goff, as well as, Blake Bortles? He quickly dials back the Bortles love, but admits that the Jacksonville Jaguars could be for real, and could have a legitimate shot at winning the AFC South. Staying in the AFC, we also look at the legitimacy of the Kansas City Chiefs hot start, MVP candidate Alex Smith, and why we shouldn't be freaking out about the New England Patriots sitting below the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets in the AFC East. We then head to the NFC, where Jared rants about hating on Odell Beckham Jr., and the uncertainty surrounding some of the conference's best teams. It wouldn't be possible to have this show and completely ignore the return of NBA preseason basketball, but Jared tries to temper his takes. Key word, tries.  Check in for his Carmelo Anthony takes, Kristaps Porzingis love, and what he thinks the most under the radar move of the offseason was.
