Rande Somma is an Author and President of RANDE SOMMA & ASSOCIATES; a company with primary focus on leadership coaching and development. Rande\\u2019s book, LEADERSH!T\\u2026 \\u201cA look at broken systems in Corporate America that allow leaders to be really good at being bad\\u201d \\u2026was published in 2017. Rande has over 40 years of business experience, primarily in the global automotive industry. 

Prior to joining JOHNSON CONTROLS, INC, Rande was employed at ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL\\u2019S AUTOMOTIVE DIVISION, serving in a variety of leadership positions in Purchasing, Sales and Manufacturing. Rande retired from JOHNSON CONTROLS, INC. after a 15-year career in the Fortune 100 Company\\u2019s Automotive Systems Group. While at JOHNSON CONTROLS, after assuming a number of positions of increasing responsibility in Sales & Marketing, Global Strategic Planning and President of North American Operations, Rande was elected a Corporate Officer. Soon after, he was named President of the Automotive Systems Group\\u2019s Operations-Worldwide. 

With annual revenue of $20 billion, Rande\\u2019s responsibilities included the leadership of: 

\\xb7 Over 250 manufacturing facilities located in 26 countries 

\\xb7 5 regional Technical Centers located in the United States, Europe, Japan and China 

\\xb7 75,000 employees worldwide 

During his tenure the company reported record sales and earnings, as well as receiving over 40 Customer, Industry and Community awards. While President, Rande was a member of the General Motors, Ford and Daimler-Chrysler Supplier Advisory Councils. Rande has served as a Chairman, Vice-Chairman and a member of several corporate boards of directors. He is a past Vice- Chairman of the Michigan Minority Business Development Council. Rande has also served on boards of non-profit and charitable organizations.
