Published: Nov. 23, 2016, 10 a.m.

This week on the Girls on the Sideline pod, Lindsay and Whitney talk about Rivalry Weekend, the Gators upset over LSU, as well as what they’re thankful for in sports this 2016. The girls also tell us their opinions on Cam Newton’s dab during the Nickelodeon awards and their thoughts on Louisville vs Houston and the whole Tom Herman Bandwagon.

Highlights of Today’s Episode:

  • Whitney’s Trifecta win
  • Florida’s win was a huge upset and shocked college football experts
  • Even Tim Tebow thought the LSU would win.
  • Some of the things the girls are thankful for are soccer this summer, iconic athletes who finally retired, and internet trolls.
  • The importance of momentum when it comes to rivalry games.
  • Why they think the issue with Charlie Strong was mishandled.
  • Cam Newton’s little dab performance and stop-speech was not a smart thing to do.

Lindsay’s MVP & LVP of the Week:

  • This week’s MVP award goes to – Tony Romo for his amazing six-minute speech in his press conference.
  • This week’s LVP award goes to – The University of Texas athletic department because of the way they handled the issue on Charlie Strong’s career.

Whitney’s MVP & LVP of the Week:

  • This week’s MVP award goes to – Gator’s defensive line that made them win the game.
  • This week’s LVP award goes to – The NFL for choosing the Azteca Stadium. The elevation is too high, the air is polluted, and players need more oxygen to play at the usual level.
