To say that we had fun recording this episode is the understatement of the year. And why is that? Because Vermont\\u2019s lone Congressman Peter Welch is an absolute hoot \\u2013 oh, and also a candidate for the Senate. Our conversation touches on the experience of being a lone representative of a state (one that breeds political powerhouses BTW) and his decision to make the switch from Congress to Senate. We also tapped him for the deats on key committees, like the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. Importantly, VERY importantly, we got into the tea on these, like what happens if you end up on a committee you absolutely hate or working with your literal arch nemesis.
