"Responsibility" with Garrett Pyke (University of Alaska Fairbanks D1 Hockey Player)
Episode 7 features my conversation with University of Alaska Fairbanks sophomore, Garrett Pyke. Currently in his second season with the university's Division 1 hockey program, Garrett has only just begun his career in the NCAA. A Toronto native, Garrett followed up an impressive GTHL career with three stellar seasons as a member of the OJHL's Oakville Blades. Sporting the 'A' for his final season before joining the University of Alaska, Garrett's accolades so far include a scoring title amongst defensemen and a Buckland Cup Championship. During our conversation, Garrett shares some of the major takeaways from his hockey career, the impact of off-ice distractions, and the responsibilities of a student athlete.
