Breaking: Pro-Trump Protesters Storm US Capitol, 6pm DC City-Wide Emergency Curfew Set
Breaking news — all covered on today’s episode. Shots fired on Capitol grounds a short time ago, and protesters also vandalized Capitol Building windows and physically scaled the walls of the Capitol, interrupting an active session of Congress, which was finalizing the Electoral vote count.
CNN.com, which earlier labeled the angry visitors to DC as “protesters,” has begun calling them a violent mob, and Van Jones — a contributor at CNN — called it “treason.”
US Senate and House members have been moved by authorities to an undisclosed secure location.
District of Columbia has set an emergency 6pm curfew to clear out remaining protesters.
