UPDATE: With grassroots support and one more push to clear the logistics, the River Raisin Jazz Festival will return in 2019 as a one-day event on Aug. 10; and plans are in the works to continue it for many years to come although in a new format.

\\nIt's the end of an era, as the River Raisin Jazz Festival will not happen again after having been a summer tradition for years in downtown Monroe, Michigan. Brad Schreiber, who was one of the people involved with the project, read some of the comments that were left by fans on the jazz festival Facebook page after the decision and announcement was made regarding plans for 2019.
