The great-great-grandson of the Reverend A.S.J. Allen, Alonzo Felder delivers a speech about his grandfather during a ceremony honoring him at the University of Florida. Allen was killed in 1904 near present day Alachua Florida when a dispute with he got into a dispute with his white neighbor over a property line and fencing, The neighbor killed Rev. Allen and got off for his crime under the Jim Crow laws of the day.  Hear Felder recount the story and thank the community here in Gainesville for stepping up to honor his relative.
