Retired Master Sergeant Roger Sparks, Author of “Warrior’s Creed,” served within the military for over 25 years. He served in the Special Forces of 2 different branches of our military. Marine Corps Force Recon and the Air Force’s Pararescue. Roger is a recipient of the Silver Star, one of our nation's highest awards for valor, for his actions during a fierce firefight with insurgents in Afghanistan’s Watapur Valley on Nov. 14, 2010. Sparks has transitioned from a career of special operations into the civilian world as an artist, author, and speaker. He lives with his family in Eagle River, Alaska.

This episode is one of the deepest conversations I have ever had. Roger is a Renaissance Man and a philosopher. We spoke for hours and shared some deep stuff. He is an amazing human being in so many different ways. I am positive that fact will become more and more apparent as you listen to his story, his philosophy, and his thoughts on how to live a good life. There are so many nuggets of wisdom laced within this conversation.

Roger shares some of the advice he gives when addressing Special Operations graduating classes. Here are two words that he expands on: Resolve and Intention. He even quotes Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, “The finger pointing at the moon is not the moon.” Over and over again Roger blows my mind.
