Donnie Lambert Frederick Carriage Rides 10/5

For the past six years, Donnie Lambert and his daughter, Jessica, have orchestrated a now-beloved downtown Frederick tradition. Each November and December, they contract with the city to provide carriage rides through the streets, rotating the shifts between their four Percheron draft horses and two Belgian draft mules. This year, though, he’s been bewildered by a new presence downtown: a group of animal rights activists who say they want the carriage rides shut down. Michael and Stacy Boyer are married vegans and lifelong Frederick residents who have four rescue dogs. They are also staunchly opposed to Lambert’s carriage rides, describing them as animal abuse and exploitation. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
