In fact within weeks of us starting community radio in 1993 Johnny was happy to speak about the game he loved even though it was to four guys who had no idea about radio and certainly had no clue about the craft of interviewing. \\n\\nJohnny was to pass away only months after we conducted this interview. He wasn't well when he accepted our invitation to speak to us but that wasn't going to stop him advocating for the game he cherished.
