For the 13 years, Bailey Wright has been based in the UK plying his trade in some of the physically toughest leagues in the world.

While millions of people across the globe watched the Netflix documentary, Sunderland 'Till I Die, Bailey is one of very few who’ve witnessed and been a part of Sunderland’s rebuild after joining the club in 2020.

The Socceroos defender talks through his football experiences at the Black Cats, while also delving into his interests off the field, which currently include a study on Football Australia as part of his sports business directors degree.

Bailey talks through some of his fondest Socceroos memories and his assessment of being dubbed one of the nicest players in camp, but he also explains what it’s like to deal with heartbreaking moments like missing out on the World Cup and how they’ve added fuel to his desire to always get better.

Bailey provides a fascinating insight into his life as a professional footballer and what it’s like to mark the likes of Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero.

Plus, he shares some cracking stories from his time time as a kid playing grassroots football.
