Hunter Hubbard- Southern Wesleyan University | Recruiting Done the Right Way

Hunter Hubbard is the Interim Head Coach at Southern Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division II School in Central, South Carolina.  He played collegiate baseball at The University of Akron, a Division I school in Akron, Ohio.  Upon graduating in 2017 he spent 2018-2020 at East Georgia State as an Assistant Coach.  Then, in 2021 he was an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Southern Wesleyan University and on September 10th, 2021 he was promoted to Head Coach.

In this podcast, we start off talking about Coach Hubbard’s influence on social media, Twitter in specific.  Also, discussing what makes college baseball so different from other collegiate sports.

We than dive into everything recruiting, first, discussing going all in on a recruit and what kind of talking points Coach Hubbard uses when a player visits Division II Southern Wesleyan University.  We than discuss negative recruiting, what that means and how Coach Hubbard deals with it, as well as organizing the recruiting calendar and what that entails.  Coach Hubbard than explains what he looks for when recruiting players, what the most important tool is, and much more!
