LEAD: ONTARIO'S VACCINE ROLLOUT Yesterday, we learned of two key developments from the province's update on its vaccine rollout. An online portal for appointment registrations is expected to be set up by March 15 and those over 80 can expect to start getting vaccinated by the third week of March. But, we still want more clarity as to how the 34 local public health units will be working alongside the province to administer the vaccines and what strategies may play an instrumental role in vaccinating Ontarians. SEGMENT 2: ONTARIANS OVER 80 ARE NEXT IN THE VACCINE LINE BUT THEY DON'T HAVE ANSWERS Ontarians over 80 years of age can now expect to start getting vaccinated by the third week of March. But, older adults are still pretty much left in the dark about how the rollout will happen. So, where do we go from here? Libby Znaimer is joined by Dr. Samir Sinha, Director of Geriatrics at Mount Sinai and the University Health Network Hospitals in Toronto. SEGMENT 3: DIABETICS FACE DISPROPORTIONATELY HIGHER RISK OF DEATH FROM COVID-19 The University of Toronto has just launched a $40-million public health project to help fight Type 2 Diabetes in Mississauga. And, a French CORONADO study on the impact of COVID-19 on patients with Diabetes.
