When his marriage ended, Des Thorpe became a homeless alcoholic. His young daughter ran away from foster care to be with her dad and grew up on the streets. Lorraine became a part of her dad\\u2019s street drinking group and met many unsavoury characters. One of them was kind-hearted, down-on-her-luck Rosie Hunt.
