\\nMany of you probably don\\u2019t know this about me, but a little over 10 years ago back in 2011-2012, while attending college at Oakland University I got into music recording, editing, and producing. I took song and songwriting classes, guitar lessons, singing lessons (I know, hard to believe), music theory, and an Axis Music Academy Music Production course. Through grade school I played many instruments, was in choir, jazz band, concert band, and marching band. I played piano, brass & woodwind instruments, and settled on my favorite instruments with guitar and singing. At the height of my guitar playing, I could pick up a song in a few minutes by ear & tabs, but today I don\\u2019t have many thick callouses on my fingers as life has taken over with other endeavors like racing and growing a business. I thought I wanted to do music as a career but ended up not pursuing it for the fear of not being able to \\u201cmake it\\u201d in such a tough industry. After recording many songs and covers I never did anything with this music. Now after publishing 119+ podcast episodes my fear of rejection has gone way down. I know my voice isn\\u2019t great, but these are my first real attempts at making music. So here it is, my forgotten music I made 10 years ago. I have 10 songs I\\u2019m willing to release, it was a fun project I think should see some light. I know it\\u2019s not perfect, and my voice needs work, but I never got around to re-recording it. I wish my voice was better and that some of the beats were slightly closer to being on tempo, but here it is. Some tracks are shorter than I like but you get the feel. I made these all in one every other week for a semester of college in the dorm rooms in a terrible sound environment, but I made it work.
\\nI\\u2019m (Eric Swahn) playing the guitar and singing; all editing is done by me. The drumbeats are all created digitally using Logic Pro Music Software for Mac Computers. I could only find 2 photos of me with a guitar so far.
\\nOn a few tracks I have featured guests Kenny Guay, my friend and roommate for college, Andy McDermott, Cole Gretkierewicz, and Kyle Hardin collaborated as part of the song and songwriting class we were in.
